LIM Testing
MainPro specializes in Line Isolation Monitor testing. Contact MainPro today to schedule your LIM Testing. We will make sure your operating room electrical systems are safe and in compliance with NFPA 99.
Annual LIM Testing
NFPA 99 defines a Line Isolation Monitor (LIM) as an electrical test instrument and requires that they be tested not less than annually for acceptable performance. This test is accomplished during our Annual Inspection process.
Monthly LIM Testing
NFPA 99 also requires that the LIM test switch be actuated to test the LIM circuit, visual and aural alarm indicators monthly. However, for a LIM with self-test and self-calibration capabilities, the test needs only to be performed annually. If all the digital LIMs in use at your facility are capable of self-test and self-calibration, there is no need for you to perform a monthly test of each LIM. The annual test of the LIM is included in our Annual Inspection process.
The monthly LIM Test should be documented for presentation to your accreditation agency during your audit. Use our Customer Portal to record your monthly self-tests and store your documentation. For more information about our Customer Portal, see the FAQs.
Modified Isolated Power System Testing
NFPA 99 also requires the Line Isolation Monitor (LIM) to be tested after any repair or renovation to the associated panel or circuit components. These tests are accomplished during our Modified Panel Inspection process.
